Our Story

Austin & Co., Inc. is a private, employee-owned insurance broker providing a consultative approach to insurance, employee benefits, HR consulting, and benefits technology. Since 1853 we have grown into a full-service agency and developed a sophisticated practice area in the not-for-profit and education community. We are proud to be one of the largest insurers of independent and charter schools in New York State.

Our expertise and service philosophy makes us an extraordinary partner. Building long-term, respectful partnerships and going the extra mile is only part of why our client service is superior. Being employee-owned also puts us above the rest because every member of Austin has a vested interest in the agency through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan and a 401k match program. We continually strive to be our client’s go-to resource for their insurance, employee benefits, HR consulting and benefits technology needs.
